This large-scale facility welcomed its tenant, CR Slitters, a Canadian pioneer in the slitting and processing of flat steel and aluminum.
The 230,000 sq. ft. building features a steel structure designed to support eight overhead cranes, each with a 30-ton capacity. Its 16-inch-thick reinforced concrete slabs allow for storage loads of up to 5,000 pounds per square foot.
The site was strategically selected for its proximity to the Port of Valleyfield, which has become a major hub for steel transportation in Canada.
